strengths
Poland schools have many beneficial aspects to offer to their community. They have an excellent rated school district with a very low drop out rate and their proficiency testing scores are above the states average. The schools offer programs for disabled children, an after school program at the elementary schools, and a safe transportation system. There are many programs offered at the public library for kids and young adults to participate in, and there are libraries at each public school. Poland has a variety of colleges and vocational training less than or about 30 minutes away for young and older adults to attend.
Weaknesses
One of the biggest weaknesses about Poland schools is that there is barely any sex education or drug awareness taught to the kids. The only time this material is introduced is in their health class they take 1 semester in high school. The other weakness is that there are only 2 school nurses for 6 schools. These nurses are in charge of many children with various disorders and it is unsafe for these children to not have access to an RN if something were to happen.
